Heavy rains bearing the remains of Hurricane Eta have flooded homes in Honduras, bringing the death toll in Central America to at least 57. Aid agencies warn that flooding and mudslides are causing a slow-moving humanitarian disaster in the region. As Honduras experiences its worst drought in more than a decade and worst flooding in decades, the US and other international aid agencies are struggling to provide the best possible assistance to people displaced by floods or landslides.

In Honduras, national police said Thursday that six more bodies had been found in the country's capital, bringing the death toll to 13. The Honduran government reported the first confirmed cases of coviform-like deaths in Honduras since the hurricane began, according to Reuters on Wednesday.

Based on this information, it is clear that Honduras is within de minimis limits, which allows for potentially distorting markets.

Honduras was also subject to unilateral tariff concessions by the United States to the CBI. Honduras has negotiated a bilateral trade agreement with the US and other Central American countries and is also in the process of eliminating the unilateral tariffs and concessions that CBI is seeking. Honduras, together with its six Central American neighbors, signed the Sustainable Development Alliance, known as the Conjunta Centroamerica USA (CONCAUSA), to promote sustainable economic development in the region. At subsequent six-monthly summits, Honduras continues to work with other Central American countries on issues of common interest.

In January 1998, Honduras and El Salvador signed a border demarcation treaty which implements the provisions of the ICJ Decree. Honduras is a founding member of the WTO and has received special treatment as defined in the agreement for developing countries. The Proenza Commission 2006 represents Honduras' commitment to the principles of free trade and the free movement of goods and services. MACCIH acts only under the control of an agreement between the OAS and the Government of Honduras signed on 19 January 2016.

Honduras borders Honduras and has coastal resources that make it an important source of natural resources for the country's economy. Both countries have a high level of tourism and tourism, as well as a large number of foreign tourists. After the fall of former President Manuel Zelaya in 2009 and his subsequent ouster in 2010, Honduras "military has accelerated its plans to return the country to civilian rule. But the military, led by President Juan Orlando Hernandez, is calling the shots in Honduras, a country of about 1.5 million people.

Given Honduras' geographical proximity to the United States, strengthening democracy and promoting viable economic growth are particularly important. Honduras, like most other Latin American countries, wants to maintain greater flexibility in its national policies and allow room for future negotiations.

But when Mexico cracked down on drug lords, the United States turned its focus to Honduras, setting up the first U.S. military base in Central America and South America's second-largest military training facility at Camp Lemonnier in El Salvador. Honduran population has increased in the capital, Tegucigalpa, and other major cities in the country.
